₹25,000 Crore AI Data Centre Strengthens Dholera SIR’s Growth Story

In a major boost to India’s digital infrastructure, the Gujarat Government has signed a ₹25,000 crore MoU with L&T Vyoma for a 250 MW AI-ready data centre at Dholera SIR. The agreement was announced at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, reinforcing Gujarat’s long-term focus on planned industrial and digital development.

Data Centres: Core of the Digital Future

Modern economies rely heavily on data centres to power AI applications, cloud computing, enterprise software, and government platforms. As India’s digital usage continues to grow, large-scale data centre projects are critical. The proposed facility at Dholera SIR will significantly enhance the country’s capacity for high-performance computing and AI-driven operations.

Strategic Advantages of Dholera SIR

Dholera SIR has been designed to support large infrastructure projects with minimal execution challenges. Key advantages include bulk land availability, reliable electricity planning, modern drainage and utility systems, and seamless connectivity via expressways. The upcoming international airport and proximity to ports make Dholera a strong candidate for globally connected digital infrastructure.

L&T Vyoma’s Role

L&T Vyoma brings deep experience in engineering and technology-led infrastructure. Its entry into Dholera aligns with other major developments in the region, including semiconductor manufacturing and renewable energy projects. This creates a strong industrial ecosystem where digital, manufacturing, and energy sectors grow together.

Economic and Development Impact

Beyond technology, the data centre will generate employment and attract supporting industries such as cooling solutions, power services, and logistics. Over time, this will increase infrastructure utilization and strengthen Dholera Smart City’s position as a next-generation industrial hub.
